Hi there, I’m Abbie, a Northern based Southerner currently studying Public Relations and Communications at Leeds Beckett University. This is my blog, where you’ll find regular posts of me rambling on about current music news, reviews, and the odd PR based post helping towards my BA Honours. If you’re reading this I’ve obviously already done something right, but I’ll give you a bit more information as to why you should stick around and have a read of what I’ve got to say.

So, why music? Ever since I was little music has always been a massive passion of mine, from being aged 6 and listening to Reading Festival out the window of my grandparent’s house, to now, aged 21 attending festivals and regular gigs, it’s one of the few things that has stuck with me throughout my whole life. One of the major attractions to running a music blog is that it’s impossible to run out of things to talk about as the music industry is constantly producing new talented acts and material. I enjoy nothing more than reading music publications both print and online, finding out the next story/gig I want to write about, and putting my own spin and opinion on it in hope of writing something relatively interesting for you lot to read!

This passion for music is something that initially led me to study ‘Music Industry Management’ as a foundation degree at The Manchester College. However, less than three months into the course, and hours of meetings with my Publicist tutor I knew it was the PR side of the music and event industry I wanted to go in to. This focus persuaded me to take the plunge into moving cities, courses and universities, landing me where I am today at Leeds Beckett University. This is why  you’ll see my professional profile and the odd PR based post on my blog, which I hope you’ll all find just as interesting!

Do feel free to get in touch if there is anything in particular you would like me to write about (contact details can be found at the bottom of the page) – and any up and coming artists please send me your EP’s, I’d love nothing more than to review your tracks!
